How Do I Fix Instagram Stream Could Not Refresh Error?

In order to resolve this error, we first need to see if our Instagram account has received a warning for policy violations. For this;

  • Open the Instagram app.
  • Click on the Profile link in the lower right corner.


  • Click on the menu bar on the profile screen.

  • On the screen that opens, click the Settings tab.

  • Click on the Security tab in the Settings menu.

  • In the menu that opens, click the Access Data tab.


If you have received a policy violation warning from Instagram, it will appear on the Access Data screen. In the alert that appears, you can follow the steps to see an explanation of why you received the policy violation and how to resolve it.

If your account has not received a policy violation or spam warning, there may be a problem with the Instagram application. For this, we can find a solution by clearing the data of the Instagram application.

For iPhone devices;

  • Open the settings menu.
